Laurelwood Public School opened in September 1998. It is one of over 100 elementary schools in the Waterloo Region District School Board. Laurelwood is a composite elementary school with French Immersion.
There are approximately 570 students attending our school from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8. Our school’s unique features include a double gym with scoreboard, a design and technology workshop and a brand new playground, thanks to the generous support of the school community.
We are especially proud of our outdoor learning circle and Butterfly Garden created in partnership with our community. Our large school yard borders a wood lot and neighbourhood park.
