Laurelwood’s tradition of giving back continued once again as we participated in our Week of Giving.
The families of Laurelwood gave generously as we worked through Munchkin Monday (baby gifts), Toiletry Tuesday (toiletry items), Woolly Wednesday (warm clothing), Thankful Thursday (turkeys) and Food Bank Friday (food bank items). This week of giving was also preceded by our Friday Festive Feast that helped raise money to support the gifts that are being given away as well. In total, we collected 33 boxes toiletries & tissue, 405 rolls of toilet paper, 2800 diapers, 160 packages of wipes, 11 boxes of baby accessories, clothes, blankets, 4 heaping shopping carts full of winter clothing and 99 boxes of food for the food bank.
On top of all, that we raised a total of $6000 in cash, gift cards and donations to be given as gifts in various ways.
Thank you to all of you who helped support our Week of Giving! So many in our community will benefit greatly from your kindness and generosity.
